What You’ll Learn
Across one or two days (depending on your chosen option), you’ll gain hands-on experience in everything that makes a bar run smoothly, including:
Setting up the bar – equipment, layout, and essential tools of the trade.
Pouring tap beer – yes, with real beer.
Getting familiar with base spirits and the basics of mixed drinks.
Closing down the bar – the behind-the-scenes process every employer expects.
Hygiene and food safety practices – nationally recognised and essential for compliance.
You’ll learn alongside others keen to enter the industry, and many participants say they make great friends during the course, people they later bump into while working in different venues.
Face-to-Face RSA and RSG Included
While the hands-on bar training is the highlight, you’ll also complete your RSA and, if you choose, RSG certification, both of which are essential for most hospitality jobs.
Unlike online courses that can feel confusing or impersonal, ITS delivers face-to-face RSA training in just 4.5 hours with supportive instructors guiding you every step of the way. You’ll leave with your certification in hand and a clear understanding of your legal responsibilities behind the bar.
